Pikeman Challenge 2009
The weekend of 21st-23rd August saw the 2nd staging of our annual Pikeman Challenge fundraiser event and it turned out to be every bit as successful as the inaugural event. The event consisted of a 33 kilometre walk on the beach from Rosslare to Kilmore on the Friday, a trek over the Blackstairs Way on Saturday and the Three Rock Walk Trek on Sunday. 12 walkers completed the entire challenge while a further 15 people completed individuals days of the walk. The challenge was a tremendous success in relation to raising much needed funds for further club development in our grounds in Parc Carman. Many thanks to all those who took part, to all those who sponsored the walkers, to all those who sponsored the event and to all those who helped in any way in making the event such a success.
