Annual General Meetings:
The Club’s adult Annual General Meeting will take place on Wednesday 2nd December 2009 at 7 pm in the Talbot Hotel. All members are encouraged to attend this meeting and those attending the meeting are reminded that only paid up members are allowed vote on the various issues of the night. All paid up members will be issued with an Agenda and the Secretary’s report in advance of the meeting.
The Coiste na n-Og AGM will take place on Thursday 10th December also in The Talbot Hotel at the later time of 8 pm. Again all members of the club are invited to attend this very important meeting. New members are also welcome to the club at all times.
Congratulations:
Congratulations to club stalwart Kevin Murphy and his wife Margaret, who celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary last weekend.
Kevin is a legend within our club, respected by young and old alike and all involved with the club are delighted to see him celebrate this milestone. He said that he is already looking forward to starting the next 50 years of marriage now.
Congratulations also to another club stalwart, Niall “Nellie” Denton, who celebrated his 40th birthday last weekend also.
To see Nellie in action in some of the games this year, you would swear that he was only after hitting 30 and we are delighted to say that he is already looking forward to competing for another year now as long as Gilly and Archie play as well!!
