Under 8’s:
Under 10’s:
Training for our U10’s takes place on Monday and Friday nights from 6-7.00PM on one of our Pitches in Pairc Charmain. Anyone interested in joining U10’s should contact Sean Murphy (087 2069450). Last Friday night our U10 squad travelled to Oylegate for a Challenge match.
Under 12’s:
Training for our U12’s continues on Monday and Wednesday nights; 6.30-8.00PM on our main pitch. Anyone interested in joining should contact Richard Murphy (087 6680630). Our U12’s were also in action last Sunday morning; travelling to Piercestown to play a Challenge match against the St Martins.
Under 14’s:
Our U14’s train on Sunday Mornings at 10.30AM Tuesday and Friday nights 6.30-8.00PM. Anyone interested in joining the U14 squad should contact Pat Henebery (087 2609958). Last Thursday our U14 First Team played the Martins in the opening round of the U14 championship. Our Second Team have their opening match of the U14 12 a-side League on Monday night against Kilmore.
Under 16’s:
Last Sunday our U16 squad were given a walk-over by Ferns in the second round of the championship.
Camogie:
Currently our Camogie girls train on Monday nights at 6PM on our All Weather Pitch. Any girl that’s interested in playing Camogie should head out to Pairc Charmain or contact Nicky Keeling (086 0832120).
Adult Squads:
Last Saturday our Juniors played a Challenge match against St. Fintans in Pairc Charmain while our Senior Team travelled to Oylegate for a Practice match.
Membership:
For insurance reasons and to comply with GAA policy only those who have paid their membership will be allowed to play with the Club. This applies to all; league, championship & challenge matches and across all grades from U8 to Senior. Any player or parent with a query on membership are asked to contact Richard Murphy (087 6680630).
We are currently in the process of recruiting underage players. Any club member who has a son, daughter, grandchild, neighbour or friend aged between 5 – 12 years, please contact Ann Slaven (086 8245166) or any of the coaches about joining the club.
Dates for our highly successful Summer Camp are Monday 9th July – Friday 13th July. Further details to follow over the next few weeks.
Details of our Main Fundraising Project for 2012; ‘The Pikeman Challenge’ will hopefully be announced in the coming weeks. If you feel like getting fit or just interested in participating in a challenge, watch this space for further details.
