Seniors:
Last weekend saw all our Adult Teams in action;
Our Senior Team played ‘St Martins’ on Saturday afternoon in Piercestown. Going into the game we were very apprehensive as key players were missing to both injury and the County Team. Our lads however took control of the game from the opening seconds of the match and were leading by a healthy margin at half time. The Second half saw the Martins come into the game and scored a series of goals to narrow the gap at the final whistle; 2-17 to 5-04
Our Junior ‘B’ Team were also in action on Saturday afternoon against ‘Our Ladys Island’. Playing into a strong wind in the first half our lads lead with a series of early scores to lead at half time by four points. At the start of the Second half the Island came into the game and managed to turn the tables on us and leave us trailing by four points. Our lads continued to battle on and managed to come out winners on a Full-time score of 1-17 to 1-14.
Sunday afternoon saw our Junior ‘A’ Team play ‘The Duffrey Rovers’ . No sooner than the whistle was blown to start the game than John Cummins had scored the first point of the game. The Harriers continued to dominate the game throughout the first half and went into half time with a score line of 1-9 to 2-4. The Duffrey were not willing to give up however and kept our lads under pressure. By the final whistle the Harriers came out on top, with a score line of 3-19 to 2-7.
